Review of Noom Meal Plan/Workout Plan?
Hi Noomily!
I'm new-ish to Noom and I'm interested in trying out the meal plan and possibly the workout plan, but looking for people's reviews and personal experiences.
My main reason to try the meal plan is because I am a vegetarian (~17 years) and can't seem to get enough clean protein that falls into the green/yellow categories, so I'm curious if anyone can attest to how personalized the meal plan gets.
Also, how much can you personalize the workout plan?
Would love any input anyone has! Thanks!

It's not the best. They send you a PDF, but a lot of the workouts are repeated page by page. I also got the meal plan because I'm a celiac and I was hoping they'd have good gluten free suggestions, but some of the suggestions were questionable or the servings were way more calories than what makes sense for my calorie budget.

The workout is not very personalized. I explicitly stated that I had issues with my shoulder that limit my range of motion quite substantially for some exercises. The most personalized I got was a tip about wrist placement for a dip. The exercises listed are good, but Shape magazine had better more dynamic workout sequences than Noom has.

It's a generic pdf. There's no real customization to it.

Agree, not worth it. I ordered them out of curiosity and looking for extra ideas, very disappointingly generic.

Haven't tried the Noom meal plans yet, but there are plenty of vegetarian recipes on Pinterest.

DO NOT DO IT!!! Total waste of money. I did it out of curiosity and it's totally something you can find on the internet. I got the vegan meal plan and body weight workout - I'm happy to email them to you through a dummy email if you want to see.
Also, I wouldn't be too worried about proteins in the yellow and red. I'm a vegetarian too. Most of my protein comes from nonfat Greek style Aussie yogurt (delicious!) and raw tofu (I'm simple). I am addicted to Perfect peanut butter protein bars which are red but worth it so i budget it in most days. If you're into smoothies - Ripple unsweetened pea milk is delicious and green as is Vega protein powder.

Also, there is a recipe tab in the app that essentially provides the same information as the pdf and its free.

Nothing is personalized. There is no meal plan or exercise plan. It's just pop psychology tips and exploitation to keep you using the app.

Way too expensive for what is a cookie cutter plan.

Agree with all comments already. I expected way more personalization. Bought it and haven't used it at all. Highly disappointed

Thanks for asking! Saved me some money, too. I was literally JUST about to add the Meal and Workout plan but I only searched Google to see if I could quickly find for how long the plans continue. But I came upon this instead. Thank you so much for asking! & thanks to all of you who answered 🙂
