Battlefield 4 Night Maps Available on the Community Test Environment

The recent release of the Battlefield iv winter patch sadly didn't add the long asked for night maps, but over at the Customs Examination Environment (CTE) where they examination out new features, game-modes and upcoming balancing changes, they recently added ii of the regular maps, prepare during night-fourth dimension. The maps in question are Golmud Railway and Zavod 311, and previously DICE take put upward a night-time version of Siege of Shanghai called Infiltration of Shanghai. And so it might non exist that long earlier we tin can see these pushed out on the regular severs.

Dark-time maps are something that me and many others have asked for in Battlefield 4, just have yet to receive. Over at the CTE subreddit Creative Manager Thomas Andersson wrote that the maps were something they threw together "apace for you to accept something over the weekend".

"Hey guys.. we really threw these together speedily for you to have something over the weekend just remember these two nighttime maps are very very work-in-progress.

Although Railway is farther along, it will accept optics issues considering the lighting is dynamic right now and PC'southward can't handle that yet and so you are going to see some foreign stuff until the next patch. All the new lights are not build into destruction so they are going to bladder when you break the wall behind them. There volition exist some other strange issues simply all the lights should be destructible in there at the moment.

Zavod doesn't even have lighting baked in so it looks kinda strange all around. You'll probably encounter a lot of issues simply this is what things expect like early on. The moon is crazy brilliant. I simply threw it in in that location for now. Many lights won't exist destructible on this map. We'll get information technology all under control very shortly.

I haven't checked it out myself withal, merely I'll be sure to patch my CTE-build afterwards on today so I can witness some night-fourth dimension explosions and choppers popping flares in the moonlight for myself. Now the but thing we need is a Special Forces DLC (or even better, a patch) like the expansion for Battleground ii with night-maps and some new gear, for Battlefield four.
